The four Hype apps
Updated Sep 10, 20263 min read
Hype is four separate Shopify apps. Each installs on its own, is priced on its own, and does one job well. You are reading the help center for Hype Bundles.
| App | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hype Discounts | Discount campaigns: order discounts, multi-product discounts, gift with purchase, cart goals and volume discounts, with storefront banners, progress bars and live strike-through pricing. |
| Hype Bundles | Bundle products, lift average order value. Fixed and mix-and-match bundles with their own pricing, merged into a single line at checkout, plus quantity breaks on any product. |
| Hype Upsell | One more product, on every order. One-click offers after checkout, on the thank-you page and in checkout, each with its own discount and results you can measure. |
| Hype Cart Drawer | A cart drawer built to convert. A fully customizable slide-out cart with goals, upsells and bundle support, and no theme code required. |
Why four apps and not one
Each app asks Shopify only for the permissions its own features need, ships only its own storefront code, and can be installed without the others. A store that only wants a cart drawer does not grant discount permissions or carry discount code on its storefront.
The trade-off is that they are genuinely separate: separate installs, separate admin pages, separate subscriptions unless you buy the Suite. What they share is one subscription option and a small number of places where they cooperate — see What works together today.

- Hype Bundles — apps.shopify.com/hype-bundles
- Hype Upsell — apps.shopify.com/hype-upsell

An app that has not launched on the Shopify App Store yet will not have a live listing at its link, and it is not offered in Hype Bundles's sidebar until it does. See Installing another Hype app.
What they have in common
- The same pricing model. All four bill on your store's paid orders per 30-day cycle, on the same four tiers, with the same free tier up to 100 orders. The prices per tier differ by app.
- One subscription option.Hype Suite covers all four for one price. See The Hype Suite subscription.
- The same support. The chat widget and the Support page work the same way in each app.
- A shared visual style on the storefront. The blocks each app renders use the same styling system, so a Hype banner, progress bar and cart drawer look like they belong together.
Which one do I need?
- Running a promotion, a sale, a free gift or a spend threshold — Hype Discounts.
- Selling several products together at a bundle price, or price breaks by quantity — Hype Bundles.
- Adding a second product after the customer has already decided to buy — Hype Upsell.
- Replacing your theme's cart with something you control — Hype Cart Drawer.
They overlap least where it matters: only one of them owns each surface. If you are unsure which of two would do a job, ask in the in-app chat rather than installing both — see Getting help.
